Groove Management

To meet the various musical styles and venues I perform in I have a number of drums kits in my arsenal. I perform primarily on Sakae drums, the former manufacturer of Yamaha drums. If you hire me for performance or recording I can bring the equipment of your choice!

Sakae Almighty Maple. 18x22, 7x10, 8x12, 12x14, 14x16. My go-to kit for modern music.

Sakae Trilogy (3-ply maple/poplar/maple shells--old school sound). 14x20, 9x13, 14x14, 16x16. R&B, blues, jazz.

Sakae Trilogy (3-ply maple/poplar/maple shells--old school sound). 14x24, 9x13, 16x16, 16x18. Rock and Roll!

Sakae Pac-D (cherry/mahogany). 16x16BD, 7x8, 7x10, 11x13. Compact kit for low-volume or space "challenged" stages.

Sonor S-Classix (thin Scandinavian birch). 16x18 and 18x22 BDs, 8x10, 9x12, 14x14, 16x16. Awesome punchy birch sound, but with some of the warmth of maple.

Canopus Yaiba Groove (Japanese birch). 18x22, 8x10, 8x12, 16x16. Stevie Wonder's current personal kit--need I say more?

Yamaha Live Custom (Japanese oak). 16x20, 7x10, 8x12, 15x16. Loud and cut through just about any situation.

A wide variety of Sakae, Yamaha, Gretsch, Tama, Canopus, Pearl and other snares. Various sizes, depths and materials. Current go-to snares are my Pearl Omar Hakim, Tama Starphonic Aluminum, Yamaha Steve Jordan and Sakae Trilogy. New snares arrive regularly....

Large collection of cymbals from Zildjian, Paiste, Sabian and Istanbul Agop. New cymbals arrive regularly as well.
